Application of 1500T Extrusion Press in Production of Graphite Electrode

The second generation of 15MN new press researched and developed by HWAPENG adopts horizontal structure of three beams and four columns, fixed single material chamber, horizontal tamping, horizontal extrusion mode, and directly driven by oil pump. It can be used in carbon industry. The raw material paste kneaded from the hot state is cooled to about 110 ℃ and then tamped, compacted (pre-pressed) to form green graphite electrode with dense cross-section and no internal defects. It is a special equipment for mass production of carbon products. It has the characteristics of high integration, modularization, easy maintenance, high reliability and less labor.

HWAPENG 15MN new press is equipped with synchronous shearing with high cutting speed; vacuum system to improve product density; the design of curved nozzle makes better product quality; accurate section temperature control in material chamber. The mobile beam of the equipment adopts the design of upper rolling bearing, which makes the installation convenient, with less resistance and waterproof, easy to maintenance and debugging;

Graphite electrodes produced by HWAPENG 15MN new press have significant improvement of electrode performance and quality index. The bulk density of the green electrodes increase by about 10%, the green electrode swell decreases, the bulk density of the subsequent process increases significantly, the strength increases, the bulk density scrap rate decreases greatly, and the finished product rate increases significantly.
